A few Fridays ago, Nicole and I went to the Oregon Coast for a day of fun in the sun. It's been a lousy month for my father. He's been suffering with a stomach ache so bad that when he finally went to the doctor, they told him to go to the ER. Once there, it was discovered he had a hole in his colon. After several days in the hospital, he finally was released but almost immediately went downhill again. The two-week shutdown my workplace has imposed upon us is already nearly over. It's already Friday of the second week and I'll be due back into work Wednesday night. Training at work continues. As I said before, my trainer is usually too busy to properly train me. My final test is this Thursday. Am I ready? Maybe. Just in case, I've got all my notes here and I'll be studying until then. Shortly after posting my last entry back on Wednesday, my parents came home with news about our sick German Shepherd, Blu. A large growth was noticed inside his gut and the vets assumed it was blood. Their theory was that a tumor/growth had ripped a hole in something and blood was leaking into his abdomen. The dog required surgery or else he'd die ( Read more... )

The big news of the moment is that our German Shepherd dog, Blu, is very sick. We're not entirely sure what's wrong with him, but it's made him increasingly lethargic and weary over the last several weeks since getting some yearly shots at the vet.
