i just sent off a bunch of resumes. none of them were to jobs i really want, but i figure it can't hurt to see what's out there, and maybe land an interesting gig. i find it's easier to sit down and send resumes out when i already have a job lined up -- and linda's already contacted me about training this week, meaning more work! yay. i'm hoping ( Read more... )

aiden's home now! albeit with some complications, the main one being he has to wear one of those doggie cone collars while his healing leg is bandaged. he *hates* it, mainly because he can't groom himself. i know, so odd for a dog, but he's very fastidious. but the collar is necessary. the downside? the bandage is staying on for a week ( Read more... )

the surgeon just called. aiden's awake and out of surgery. everything went as she expected -- no complications, no last-minute emergencies. i'm very grateful ( Read more... )

the consult went really well. the surgeon is a super nice lady who didn't have any of that stuffy vet-ness about her. she also had really pretty eyes. anyway, aiden is at the pet hospital right now. he's having the surgery this afternoon. he's getting a metal plate in his leg with about 8 screws. without the plate, his bones would knit slightly ( Read more... )

aiden broke his leg last night. he spazzed in my ams in the kitchen and fell 3 or so feet to the floor. both bones in his rear left leg have a clean break in them. we took him to the emergency vet clinic and they did x-rays -- his leg is in a splint for now, but we're going to consult a surgeon tomorrow, because it sounds like surgery is the safest ( Read more... )
