As the subject says, I'm 35w2 days, this is my first pregnancy. My blood pressure's been pretty high my whole pregnancy, my OB told me the appointment before last he might have to induce me a couple weeks early, as it was 137/91, but he said never mind last appointment, as it had gone down to 130/84. I gave birth to my amazing, wonderful, adorable little girl 4.5 months ago via emergency c-section. Long story short, I was hoping for a natural birth with a midwife in a free standing birth center. Well surprise surprise my baby girl has made her debut, 6 weeks early! Emelia Kathryn Carnes was born via cesarean section on June 23, 2011 at 7:52pm. She weighed 5 lbs and measured 18 inches long (yes, 5/18 which coincidentally is our wedding anniversary!). Don't hate me, but I had the most ideal pregnancy other than the pre-eclampsia and then a really easy delivery. I was in labor for 1 1/2 hours. One hour of contractions and 30 minutes of pushing before my son was born. My recovery was miraculous since I was up and about within 24 hours and just a little sore. i know there was just a post about pre-eclampsia...i was diagnosed the other day after an overnight hospital stay and 24 hour urine test. my BP since being sent home on bed rest and BP meds (i've been on them since friday night) has still been quite high. i'm seeing my doctor again tomorrow and i'm worried that i'll end up in the hospital for an ( Read more... )
