I just spent a wonderful evening seeing (almost) all the wonderful peoples I missed while I was intern-ing it up in New York. It's July. What the hell.

I've hit that point in the summer where I'm not quite that motivated to do all that stuff I've been planning to do. I'm sure I'll snap out of it by September.

Just finished watching the second episode of Jeeves and Wooster. It would be endlessly entertaining if Stephen Fry ever guest starred on House with Hugh Laurie. I would spend the episode giggling.

Went to the dentist, today. Quoth he, "Your teeth are good, your gums have improved, now go home and floss." And I did, though not before stopping by Stone Oven to pick up pizza and then the bookstore to get a job application.

When it comes to special effects, the Wachowski Brothers (creators of The Matrix) were probably the best possible choice to make Speed Racer. It's a pretty film. Despite the fact it's live-action, its unrealistic background, its frequent use of action lines, and the fact most of the main characters know martial arts make it feel more like anime ( Read more... )

Today, I was in a meeting with the literary magazine's art staff. The deadline for submissions was this Friday, so we had a lot of stuff in from art students and people who have gone abroad with cameras.
