I went to the NY Anime Fest.

I'm trying to figure out how to put into words how big, stimulating, and insane it was.

When it comes to special effects, the Wachowski Brothers (creators of The Matrix) were probably the best possible choice to make Speed Racer. It's a pretty film. Today, I was in a meeting with the literary magazine's art staff. The deadline for submissions was this Friday, so we had a lot of stuff in from art students and people who have gone abroad with cameras. Last night, I watched the movie Paprika on YouTube, so if you're interested in watching it, hurry before they take it off.

Best eye candy I've had in ages. I'm also not so sure about the plot, which wasn't particularly deep, but the music was fantastic.

This short is called "Bathtime in Clerkenwell", with happy-go-lucky, modern vaudeville music set to the hostile (but happy) takeover of the town, Clerkenwell, at seven A.M. sharp, by a group of facist cuckoos.
