I spent the first official day of my spring vacation decompressing: slept in, stayed in my pajamas 'til past noon, and saw a movie. Or, um, two. These movies were Watchmen and the animated, Sita Sings the Blues.

Last night, I had a lovely evening at the newly opened Shinanos. What fun! I showed off my newest obsession, The Desert Peach, and had a fantastic time talking, eating, catching up, and laughing.

I read a lot more American comics than I used to, at least as opposed to Japanese manga. Manga has some fabulous storylines, of course, but it can be a relief to read English graphic novels, once in a while, where the cultural barrier isn't as prominent.
