Joy of joys! My geekish self is ecstatic. Today, I found a copy of Bill Willingham's special edition book for his Fables series,
1001 Nights of Snowfall.
The framing story - Snow White journeying to the mythical version of the city of Baghdad in order to make an alliance with Fabletown against the Adversary - is compelling, and yet, it's her stories that gloriously fill in all the spaces that the main series leaves blank. I had already read the frog prince's backstory online, as well as Bigby's, but Snow White's own, "revised" story was amazing! Why didn't I get some money and buy the damn book in the first place? I shouldn't have waited this long.
My review for this graphic novel: A-
