Finished season 5 of Buffy two nights ago. It made me wish I had been a) old enough to be at all interested in TV shows that weren't cartoons and b) actually the owner of a TV when Buffy was airing. First of all, on a Starbucks run during All Night Skate, a guy rolled down his window and yelled at me. Except instead of yelling obscene or demeaning things, he just yelled, "How cute are these boots?" A la Gap Holiday. I'm such a fan of the power outages. When I'm at work, it means I don't have to do much of anything until the power comes back on. And when I'm in the science library, it means I can sit in the dark and the quiet in a narrow, towering alley of books. Or journals about chemical physics.
