1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Got my own apartment, played pen & paper RPGs, payed bills, bought a store-bought Halloween costume, had $3 Unlimited Pancakes from 12-5am at Shari's, tagged my Livejournal entries. ALL OF THEM.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Well, I did do a better job at seeing my problems in the big picture, I think, and I did eat reasonably healthily. But I definitely did NOT work out once a week, and I wasn't a particularly good girlfriend because for the majority of the year, I have not been anyone's girlfriend, and when I was, I didn't do a supergood job of it anyway. I do want to make new ones for next year, and I haven't written them down yet, but I know they are going to involve being more focused, and more honest. Also they will involve a list of things I have decided it is alright not to be honest about, which I will write down and promptly hide or burn and never show anyone. Not that I'm one to burn things.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just the USA.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A vespa. But I don't think it's very likely.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I can't think of any.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Ahhh... last year: "Doing International Guild, getting straight A's for the first time ever."
I did not do anything that compared to those things, which makes me sad. However, I did make a KICKASS collage, and managed to find an apartment. Also, I got a B in chemistry. While this is due not to my personal success but rather the mediocrity of my peers, I am still quite proud. I kissed three new people that I hadn't kissed before. Which also brings the total number of boys I've kissed this year to a whopping four. Higher than ever!!! Maybe more next year?? LOL.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing to hold someone's hand.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I've been coughing for like two months. But it's not serious.

"Fireflies" by Owl City, "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga, "Please Do" by Quasi, "Into The Dark" by Ben Lee.

Glee, So You Think You Can Dance, How I Met Your Mother. Also it's significant that I never actually watched TV consistently before this year. Also, I love MANSWERS and NINJA WARRIOR but I think either we don't have that channel or they don't come on at reasonable times, or both, so I can't watch them.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't hate anyone.
26. What was the best book you read?
In Cold Blood. Lovely writing.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
THE BENS!! Although I have yet to listen to any songs by them, the fact that they even exist at all is comfort to my soul. Also Ben Lee and Ben Kweller, Vitamin String Quartet. Also accepting people I had previously vowed not to listen to into my iTunes library, like Taylor Swift and Beyonce. I can now say with certainty that any person who likes ANY type of music at all can find something they'll like on my iPod.

Ben Lee:
I'm made of atoms
You're made of atoms
And we're all in this together.
And long division just doesn't matter
'Cause we're all in this together...yeah
