Finished season 5 of Buffy two nights ago. It made me wish I had been a) old enough to be at all interested in TV shows that weren't cartoons and b) actually the owner of a TV when Buffy was airing. I wish I got to watch the whole thing when it was actually on TV, and be trolled so hardcore by the ending of season 5, and not know that there were two more seasons left.

I don't know which is more disturbing: that in 12 hours I'll be sitting in a classroom again, or that this year is likely to be my last year of school, ever. I have never not wanted school to start again as much as I don't want it to start right now. I am anti-school at the moment. I don't want to deal with all the stress of going to school every day and going to work and trying to read medieval literature, which I hate, and having to write papers about it, and attending my first class, which is IN SPANISH!!!! Couldn't Spanish be my second class? And trying to get through pages and pages of novels, which is painful because I'm a painfully slow reader. Admittedly, I'm psyched for the novels themselves. They look cool. And I'm nothing but psyched for my psych class. (Get it? PSYCHED??) It's called "Thinking." It's great.

But I'm so looking forward to the time when Cory comes back home for winter break, but I still have classes and homework, but most of my homework is reading, and so I can read next to him. I love reading next to him.

Anyway, I've got my lunch packed. (Tupperware full of zucchini-garlic fried rice, because occasionally I display impressive chef-skillz, and an apple-cinnamon rice cake, and Mom's zucchini bread. Mmm.) My school bag is also packed, with notebooks, lovely planner, camera, multicolored pens, books, and the usual pocket knife, band-aids, eyedrops, compact magnifying glass, and chapstick. I've selected the proper outfit for possible future-husband-attraction: Jeans, cartoon egg t-shirt, cuddly hoodie, sneakers. Doing all of these things made me feel a little bit more okay with going to school. But still not that okay with it.

An amalgamation of awesome stuff:

~Drawing of Lucy and me at the Easy A premiere in Hollywood
~"Boys I Have Made Out With: a pie chart," AKA "Good Thing Joe Is Still Friends With Me, the pie chart"
~My new waterproof hiking boots
~Volume 1 of Scott Pilgrim comics (that's Lucy's but she let me borrow it)
~An epistolary masterpiece of a letter that I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to send
~A cat paperclip

books, pictures, sean, emo, lucy, nerdery, joe, cory, lists, school, journal, boys
