Haven't done that in forever. Should do it more, because I really like reading them later. And it makes me feel sad when I haven't posted in a long time, because of all my internet things, my Livejournal is my favorite one, even though it's the one nobody looks at anymore. And so if my favorite digital cyberspace self-representation of myself isn't even up to date, what does that even say about me??
.....
I update my Twitter pretty frequently....?
SO.
I just watched
this and in the dizzying aftermath of watching it subscribed to charlieissocoollike and also now am trying to write this entry and my brain hurts. So if this is weird, that might be why.
I went on a roadtrip to Glacier National Park with my parents in their new motorhome. I hooked up with most of my guy friends at the beginning of the summer, but then towards the middle of the summer my nerds moved into this great house literally half a block down the street from us. This resulted in me hanging out with another guy some more, and he turned out to actually be great. We would go and sit at the bottom of the slide at the park in the middle of the night. The first time this happened, we had this conversation:
Me: Reading is great.
Him: Yeah, we should have brought books to the park.
Me: No, that would be the worst. This isn't even comfortable. We could just read inside a house, on a couch.
Him: Yeah, with cats, and hot chocolate.
Me: This sounds great. Let's do it.
Him: I'll supply the cats... and the hot chocolate... and the couch.
The second time he kissed me. And that's the story of how both of my dream dates (reading in bed and Skate World) got to come true. And things happened that were great and wonderful. Then he went back to college in a distant state. That sucks.
Now I read, play The Sims, sit on the boys' couch, walk back and forth between our house and the boys' house, watch Buffy, worry about money, write in my journal, think about school starting, take my 365's, work on writing a story, think about vlogging, listen to rain falling, listen to music, and go to the movie theatre.
Movies: Inception and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World are the two greatest movies of this entire year; every other movie is at least two tiers below both of those. Easy A is two tiers below those ones, but it's still really damn good. Side note: I want to watch a movie where Stanley Tucci is the main character. Do you know of any movies like that? Also I want to have a Stanley Tucci movie marathon. That guy is in everything.
Books: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Paper Towns by John Green. Seriously, read that. It's even better than normal John Green books. And I just finished reading the seventh Harry Potter book again. I couldn't remember anything that happened in it, except for who died, so I figured I'd better read it again before the new movies come out. I cried a lot. Well, not a lot of tears. But a lot of times. I cried at least one tear out of each eye every time somebody died or was selfless, basically, which happens a lot there towards the end of the book... and the whole time I was reading the end of the book I was imagining how clutch they could make the movies if they do it right. I'm excited for those. I'm not ashamed of that. :)
