Yesterday? Forecasts called for 53 degrees. Don't think we ever saw that, though. Highest I saw on my cell phone was 49 degrees. Amazed that wasn't a record- but not even close. Just feel run down this week.

I know a big part of it is Mother's Day. I know I'm lucky I can at least talk to her, but it will be so strange not going over, giving her a card, perhaps a small gift, and just chatting and catching up. Easter was one thing, that hasn't been a big deal for a while now. But this is tougher. A lot tougher.

Whew, what a work week! Monday was slow- even thought about leaving early and making up the hours later. Temperatures have been in the high 80s and low 90s for the most part. Not off the bell curve for this time of year. It has been dry, very dry. We had a good rain in parts of Northeast Ohio (I saw a few anemic puddles) in this middle of this week but we need more. This summer has been compared to the summer scorcher of 1988.
