Schools have started for the most part. This summer just flew, hard to believe it's Labor Day weekend.

Today was my first day of vacation- my first week off since early December. Oh, I needed this.

All in all, we've had a fairly mild summer, especially when compared to the rest of the country. Well, excepting perhaps Thursday night's storms. Spring has been good to me, for the most part. Much busier at work, which is good. Fewer slower days, more days on the road and more responsibilities. It's all good. The past couple days I spent on the road were especially nice- gorgeous weather, good stories to work on.

We had negative temperatures this past Friday. This Friday, we could see 50s.

Gotta love Northeast Ohio.

I'm very grateful my heat and electric worked throughout. A lot of people lost power during this time.

By yesterday, my overall thought was "stick a fork in me, I am DONE."

Mass shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo. Mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. At least two other major shooting events since then. The beating death locally of a 17-year-old.

Yep, winter is definitely here, and making up for lost time.

Overnight Friday into early Saturday morning, it was -2 or -3 degrees. I know Youngstown set a record with -7. Brrrr! That's Fahrenheit, to be clear. More snow fell today, looks like a couple of inches, and more is expected tomorrow. Ick.
