Schools have started for the most part. This summer just flew, hard to believe it's Labor Day weekend.

I really can't complain since all in all our winter and spring has been really mild. Despite some freeze warnings and a few nasty storms, spring has been quite pretty. A couple days ago, it was 50s with frost alerts. Today it got to around 80, with more of the same expected tomorrow and Monday.

My first two days in 2022 were pretty darn good.

Yesterday, I went to my parents' house to watch the Rose Bowl Parade with mom. Mom and I later went swimming, and for the first time since I injured my leg I used the leg floats/weights. My Grandma Pat died yesterday morning. It wasn't unexpected, I think a part of her died when Grandpa died. Also, she had a lot of health problems that were really starting to impact her quality of life. The last two times I called, she couldn't talk to me, physically. Yesterday and today were the first days where the high temperatures didn't go above 60s. It's supposed to warm up some the next few days, highs in the 60s and 70s for a while, then 50s and 60s through the end of the month. It will stay well above freezing, good news for my potted plants.
