Schools have started for the most part. This summer just flew, hard to believe it's Labor Day weekend.

This was a busy week, but everything fell together nicely so not complaining. Indeed, I had may strokes - big and small - of incredible fortune.

One, I finally wrapped up a story (really stories) on school facilities. It was my most ambitious project to date in my career. Two stories, plus a quasi story/sidebar. Getting good feedback so far.

I don't think I've ever looked towards a new year with so much trepidation.

Nearly halfway through January, hard to believe. We've had a mild winter, aside from those few days of deep freeze in late December and today. And really, today (and yesterday) are more what we typically associate with January.

Temperatures have been on a roller coaster. Last Friday, when mom and I went to Ohio Mart, it was 70s- and rainy. Saturday was colder but still nice. Sunday again was cold but gloomy; I was supposed to go to Hale Farm but the skies looked too threatening. I later found out (I went this past Saturday) that there were snow flurries that day. Hard to believe, the opening for Les Miserables is only a few weeks away! The bulk of my costume stuff is together, just waiting on the one dress mom agreed to make for me.
