I went for a walk this morning around the moat.  There are a pair of blackbirds who were in a panic that i was near.  I'd put two piece of slab boards from the moat into the marshwoods, but I think there is a barracade for the water to keep moving. I fed the deer. Feels balmy outside. It's only -10C and 40kph winds, but it's sooo much warmer than it has been.

I also used this opportunity of being down in the kitchen to make some popcorn.

I got up early, around 7, I guess. I went to the window and saw Baby EyeRing, my little deer with the very dull coat, perhaps from lack of nutrition. I'm not sure how he got to be so dull coated. He fluffs his coat out completely, so perhaps I am just seeing the under fur. Those deer hides are extremely warm and fluffy ( Read more... )
