I've been in my recliner all day. I've watched a bit of Netflix. Hinterland, the first episode which was as long as a movie.

A finch did sit on my hand, twice! That's quite nice to have happen, several of them. they were also under my hand as I was holding it out. I took a few pictures and made a couple short videos of them.

I was handfeeding five chickadees that were more like twenty in their frequency on my hand. They were in somewhat of a battle actually. The downy woodpecker on the tree came over and laded on my hand for several seconds. It'll be at 5:40 in the video that is about the 20th one in the queue line!

I haven't done any typing in a long time. I update my journal by the microphone on my ipod or type one fingeredly on my android tablet or phone. It's good to be typing again. I think I have a lot to type about. So I'll start from where I am ( Read more... )

It's so nice to see Willem enjoying himself with the sunflower seeds in his hand. I did it all winter last year. It's nice to see him do it, now used to the birds coming to his hand, even when the feeder if full of sunflower seeds!

I went over to visit with Alida and grandbaby Desmond. She's such an awesome mommy. He's so fortunate. Desmond is such a strong and active boy. He arches his back to get out of your grasp and slides to the floor if possible, then wants to hold your fingers as he walks in front of you, his head far in front of his legs, like those cartoon ( Read more... )

I finally did something productive, so I can now journal about it. I finished the pair of green knee socks I have been working on. They are wonderful, except for the toes again. I gave my other pair of green knee socks, the ones that wouldn't stay up, to Maryjane last weekend ( Read more... )
