I got up early, around 7, I guess. I went to the window and saw Baby EyeRing, my little deer with the very dull coat, perhaps from lack of nutrition. I'm not sure how he got to be so dull coated. He fluffs his coat out completely, so perhaps I am just seeing the under fur. Those deer hides are extremely warm and fluffy!
Anyway, I saw him as I bent down to answer the phone and sit on the bed. When I hung up, he was gone. Perhaps he'd seen and heard me. I am not sure. So I went out and filled up the feeders for all my huge pets. They are nice, like dogs. They are faithful, but more like wild dogs that are skiddish, so okay, that's not like pet dogs. Scratch that.
It was snowing, which was quite pretty outside. I had my hood up so the snow wouldn't fall down the back of my neck. It takes about four scoops to fill the bowls for them.
As I was returning around the house, I saw Mac's car stuck in their lane. Knowing there was little I could do, but perhaps steer, I walked up the lane most of the way to the car, but then remembered that they have a tractor, and that since Mac wasn't in the car, he was probably gone to get it to pull himself out. My help was unnecessary.
So I backtracked, seizing the opportunity to take some snow photos of home from across the expanse. I was glad to get out and get my walk in with a bit of purpose today. I opted for going home instead of down to the stream and back. Too much chance of getting stuck down there with my bad back and all, though that has never happened.
