Did a my little family outing to the arboretum yesterday.

Did a tour of one of the historic buildings there. Was nice.

Then went with middle offspring to the mall across the street. Had lunch together there. Then went shopping for Xmas gifts there.

Was a nice day.

Had a nice Thanksgiving this year.

It was just My Little Family with no guests. And it was nice.

We feasted in the mid-afternoon between traditional lunch and dinner times. Then had two home made pies, fruit and pumpkin, as dessert.

Then we became quiet and relaxed as we digested.

My middle offspring had their birthday last week. Huzzah!

We hosted them and a few close friends to their desired place to celebrate.

Had food and fun. Made me happy to see them happy on their special day. Also made me happy to see the group playing dance dance revolution, and having fun together with it.

Something nice happened this Halloween season.

My son and I spontaneously started doing after-dinner movie and show watch-togethers of 'ween season themed shows and movies.

Mostly it's based on offerings from flix streaming and prime streaming.

It is nice to hang-out and bond, small talk, and such.

I wish there was a local support group that I knew of for "Parents with Special Needs Dependents."

As this year my special needs dependent became over 18yrs of age, and all that comes with now being over 18yrs of age.

Last night, felt tired and went to bed early, just before 10pm.

Woke up before 5:30am for no apparent reason. Still was dark. House was quiet.

Tried the anti-insomnia technique of staying in bed, eyes closed, just counting breathing cycles, willing myself to have a relaxed body, like when doing a post yoga workout, where the person just lies on ( Read more... )

Father's Day 2022

Mother Nature was kind: was a beautiful day in the San Gabriel Valley. Mid 80s tempurature. Nice breeze. Blue skies. Not too humid or dry.

The outside world seemed quiet. Street seemed quiet. Felt relaxing at home. Decided to stay home, and just "be."

Ordered Lucille's BBQ via delivery, for yummy Father's Day BBQ food.
