Something nice happened this Halloween season.

My son and I spontaneously started doing after-dinner movie and show watch-togethers of 'ween season themed shows and movies.

Mostly it's based on offerings from flix streaming and prime streaming.

It is nice to hang-out and bond, small talk, and such.

Put out some kid-friendly Halloween decorations on the front porch. Fuzzy spiders and jack-o-lanterns.

The number of trick-or-treaters we had was below what I expected.

We had our outdoor 'ween decorations out for about two weeks before the big night.

For the entire night, maybe only about fifteen trick-or-treaters between 6p and 10p. Half of a box of full size candy bars given out.

Been watching and re-watching Halloween Season shows and movies this month.

Liked Fall of the House of Usher.

Re-enjoyed Night of the Living Carrots.

Re-enjoyed Ash vs Living Dead.

Cult classic. The Babysitter.

Was fun. The Babysitter: Killer Queen.

Some parts of it got to me. The endings twists, too. Us.

Halloween 2022

This was the first contagion 'ween, where we did not wear masks. Contagion covid risk remains "low" for where we live, so felt comfortable doing so.

I kept to my tradition of giving out one full sized candy bar per trick-or-treater. Once it was 10pm, closed up shop, and determined that our house had given out about one and a half ( Read more... )
