John Lennon was always my favorite Beatle. But now that I'm adulting.... I think I've changed to liking Georg the best. This video is just one example of the cleverness of this quiet Beatle. I'd never heard it before until our beloved DJ on KSPC played it during his morning polka show this past week! And it's not a polka song....

I have now been back to work for nine days and it's been a whirlwind of busyness since then! I'm proud of myself though. I was completely mentally prepared to return to work and have been sticking to new routines so far. As mentioned in my last post, I have a PLAN and I'm stickin' to it!

Welcome 2017!

Here is how we spent the last week of our vacation together...

December 27th - We mostly hung out at home. We spent the late morning at Snowcreek Park so I could go for a walk and Audrey could frolic in the sunshine!

When I was back at work, hugely pregnant and all kinds of tired, I would daydream about my maternity leave. What I was most looking forward to was a scenario in which I would drop Audrey off at school with Oliver in tow and then head up to Pantera Park (just up the hill from Audrey's school) and go for a morning walk ( Read more... )

This morning, Jeff, Oliver, and I went for a nice long hike up the path at Sycamore Canyon Park in Diamond Bar. I wore Oliver in the carrier so I got an extra work out. We went up a steep hill and two steep staircases. At the top were great views of the valley and my legs and ass burned like crazy! It felt good to get out and walking! Today is ( Read more... )
