(So they say.)
I've started off the new year with a PLAN. It seems like every year I have a PLAN and something happens so that the PLAN isn't fully achieved. I've learned to be okay with that and not be so hard on myself when the PLAN doesn't work out. Nonetheless, I feel it is good discipline to set goals and strive to achieve them! So without any further ado.... Here is my 2017 PLAN:
MEG'S 2017 PLAN
- Use a Bullet Journal at least for the month of January ---- if I like it and it's working, keep going with it every month*
- Read 40 books based on the Pop Sugar Book Challenge for 2017
- Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight
- Keep good eating habits
- Exercise at least 30 minutes 6 days a week
- Use Instagram to track my progress!
*I LOVE MY BULLET JOURNAL! I secretly hope my busy self can keep it up for the whole year! I mean, what's not to love?
I have been following four different people on Instagram for the past nine months to help me figure out what bullet journaling is all about.

The top three have been my go-to ladies for all things "Bujo" - get it? That's a shortening of Bullet Journal. Clever. These ladies make bullet journaling pretty as well as pretty overwhelming! When I read THIS POST last month, I finally wrapped my head around where to begin and how to manage bullet journaling. And away we go!
One more thing (and then I'll shut up about bullet journaling for a minute...), I've discovered in these first days of January that as I am using my bullet journal, the creative juices in me are overflowing! I want to write and write and keep on writing! I love the challenge of the six-word stories, a concept originally penned by Ernest Hemingway. I love that the bullet journal can be WHATEVER I WANT IT TO BE! I've started lists of my favorite things again! I haven't done that since..... well, you can search my back-dated liverjournal entries and that would have been the last time! I LOVE it! I love that I can hardly reign in all this creative thought. It's so refreshing! But I do hope I reign it in because work starts on Monday and I need to use my brain power to get caught up on all that.....
Ok.... I just wrote a bunch of stuff about the other resolutions mentioned above and Livejournal went and deleted it all. So screw you Livejournal! I don't have time to rewrite all of that right now. And maybe that was the internet's hint that I was being to damn long-winded. And maybe that was my bullet journal's hint that thoughts are better left in handwriting.
