What a day. We took Värtti to the vet because she seemed to be sick. It turns out that she has a urinary tract infection for which she got antibiotics. Poor thing. Why is sorting through papers so exhausting? Maybe it's just been a long day. First work and then organizing the storage room next to the garage, and after that going through papers and disposing of bills (laskut) that dated as far back as 1994. Well, it seems that we managed to break my computer. Orasi and me tried to change his old graphics card to my computer since mine is so small that my games crash all the time. There was a big storm today which resulted in some major power outages across the country as trees fell on power lines. Someone died when a tree fell on them. We were without electricity for 7-8 hours. We had heating and running water so it wasn't so bad. Orasi got my two screens working. It didn't look difficult at all, but he knew what he was doing, unlike me. I couldn't get it working properly when I tried. I don't usually ask for help with computer related problems before I've really tried to solve the problem myself. I've been reading up on this and it seems that you should be able to use a 3 pin fan on a 4 pin fan slot. The fourth one is used to adjust the speed of the fan. I don't have a fan that's the right size and I'm not sure, if the cord is long enough to reach the slot on the motherboard, but I'll see what I can do. Yesterday I watched The Cove on telly with Nydi and mom. It's this documentary about the slaughtering of dolphins in Japan. It reminded me of our family trip to Norway when I was in my early teenage years. Norway hunts whales for "scientific" purposes, like Japan.
