Whales and dolphins
Yesterday I watched The Cove on telly with Nydi and mom. It's this documentary about the slaughtering of dolphins in Japan. It reminded me of our family trip to Norway when I was in my early teenage years. Norway hunts whales for "scientific" purposes, like Japan. Dad ate whale at a restaurant there and we kids strongly disapproved of that. Mom said that we moved to a different table from mom and dad at the restaurant as a protest. I had forgotten that detail. xp
I've been thinking that I might like to visit Norway again sometime in the future. It's near enought that you could get there by boat and train, so no need for airplanes. I never got to see the whales while I was there as kid, and I'd really love to see them.
