Ever since I got my netbook (an Asus EEE PC 900) I've really liked the little thing. But, it's been of little use due to it's one glaring flaw: the SSD it shipped with was horriffically fucking slow. I feel very put-upon lately. Like I'm having a harder time than I was before keeping up with the day-to-day. It's an interesting experience having a roommate. There's a lot of back and forth. I finally found a native LJ client for my phone (WebOSJournal).

I like it, it lets me view and reply to others' entries faster than I can within the Pre's web browser, as well as post entries.

So hopefully, there will be more off-the-cuff updates like this one in the future interspaced with the cross-posted Tweets.

I meant to post this a while ago with some more specific information, but it kind of fell by the wayside as things have been hectic with me trying to cram in as much to be done as possible. Some highlights from today: I bought from the drawer a quarter from 1958 and a Honduran 50 cent piece (which someone mistakenly spent as a quarter). Quarters (and other denominations, to a lesser extent) with silver in them make a very different sound to my ears when dropped than modern copper-zinc ones. It's quite noticeable.
