Same old song. Days off, didn't do shit. I lay part of the blame on having to close the day before a day off. I then promptly sleep through most of that day off. Finished the by now epic "make fried rice" project. It turned out well, if a shade shy of really authentic to take-out taste. I did greatly enjoy it, however. Ended up deciding to buy a wok to make it properly. I now have a wok. I added my own little flourishes, and it turned out pretty damned good. Having to work a close shift on Tuesday is a challenge for me. I can't just walk in the door and go to bed, I need time to wind down from work. It's not like Target, where I could walk in and just drop down into bed. There's nowhere near as much physical labor, and a lot more psychological bullshit. Didn't get everything on my list done, but a decent percentage (especially considering when I got up).

The guy interested in the gum rack called me back today. So I'll be returning his call tomorrow. If that goes well, it'll be another $20 in my pocket, which will be nice.
