I found a good way to administer Lord Vader's medicine: Crush the pill and mix it with tuna-flavored hairball remedy. Smear the sticky mess on kitty's paws. Kitty is compelled to lick it off. He hates it, but I get to keep my fingers.

You're sure you're coming down with something because your headache doesn't feel right. :(

Now reading: People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks - I've only read the first chapter or so of this one, but holy crap is it amazing. An Australian rare book conservator goes to Sarajevo to study and conserve an illuminated Hebrew manuscript. In the first few pages she's studying the book for the first time. Now that the tree bukkake has settled down and I am not all sniffly anymore, I am constantly being assaulted by something the locals call "no-see-ums." I have at least three these tiny little itchy bumps somewhere on my body - arms, legs, hands, feet, toes, hips, tummy, etc. - at any given time. I have had a really bad cold - or possibly pneumonic plague; it's all a little hazy - for the last three days. I have been TOO SICK FOR THE INTERNET. But I am feeling better now. So! Did I miss anything? Tell me.

I have two -- TWO -- giant bug bites on my ASS.

It's not like I don't wear pants, people! I do! Most of the time. Well, in public. And always at work! I think I must have gotten them yesterday while I was sitting on the sidewalk watching a fire extinguisher training. But I was wearing jeans. WTF mate.

Needless to say, work today was interminable.

It stormed really hard last night, and I took a nap. When I woke up, the storm had passed, it was drizzling outside, and I even heard some birds chirping. THEN the power went out.
