I'm home with a migraine today. I woke up at about 8 to call off work, then took a prescription-strength ibuprofen and went back to sleep until noon. I am feeling much better, though I still have that headache-hangover feeling.
Back update:
I definitely had/have a herniated disc! It's not really bothering me much anymore, so the doctor said as long as it continues not to bother me, we will let it be. My legs get tired more quickly than usual if I walk or stand for a while, and I have a numb spot on the lower part of my left calf, but I can deal with that. Not like I generally use my calf to touch things. My stationary bike is helping me get back to good. (I like that song. Don't judge me.)
Something I just discovered and would like to share:
For some reason my iPod thinks my router and I live in Spokane, Washington (a little over 2100 miles off). I discovered that Skyhook Wireless provides the Wi-Fi Positioning System for the iPod Touch and iPhone, and that, if one's location is incorrect, one can fill out
this form to get it fixed.
One other thing:
I have admitted to myself that my attention span is shot to hell, and am not really sure how to go about fixing it. Guess I should start by doing something other than messing around on the Internet. Also, someone please explain to me how I can play Dragon Age or watch Torchwood for hours on end, but still can't sit down to write more than a few sentences on any given subject. Almost makes me want to go back to school. Again.
One other, other thing:
I have installed Ubuntu Linux as the sole OS on my laptop. My apartment is now a Windows-free zone. Love it LOVE IT.
