Spring is starting to spring up here in the outer SE London suburbs. We got up late (for us) this morning and decided after a quick cup of coffee to deadhead and tidy up the garden. Yesterday was really warm and no frost at the beginning of the day which was nice. The morning began with Pilates for me - lots of hard stuff but I enjoyed it. Lunch was delicious leftovers of all kinds of salad things with toasted halloumi - perfect for a warm day. So far today has been very relaxing, although I have thoroughly cleaned the bathrooms and washed the towels. Mr Cee has finished making his new garden shed between rain showers (forecast today 11C/52F and cloudy, but in fact rainy). This new Covid19 Omicron variant has joined in with the Delta variant to push up numbers of people infected in the UK which is starting to make me wonder if my social plans for next week are going to happen *sighs*.  There are lots of dire warnings being sent out and we're being told to not "mix with people you don't have to" and "all the things we ( Read more... )

Well last night's Screen Unseen was rather disappointing as it turned out to be Petite Maman a French film that had English subtitles. Now, I don't mind a subtitled film but I do get irritated by them if I have a smattering of understanding of the language they are in. Yesterday started later than usual as we both slept in until well after 8am which is very unlike us!
