I have, over the years, dumped TV shows. Obviously. Otherwise I'd be watching practically every scripted show on TV. However, I've never been so tempted to dump so many in one year.

Over the years, shows I've actively dumped have been CSI, CSI:NY, Hawaii Five-0 and Criminal Minds (but I seem to have returned for the far less awful 8th season. Huh ( Read more... )

So, my rule with new TV shows is this: watch the pilot and then watch the second episode because pilots are rarely good indicators of what a show is really going to be like. If I still hate it (like Charlie's Angels), give it up, but if I still think it might work, keep going until I decide.
