The past few days have been fairly busy because it was my sister's birthday yesterday and I was making her a Cake of Epicness™. I made the actual cake on Sunday afternoon, decorated it on Monday morning and put the finishing touches to it Tuesday morning before she arrived.

A while ago, my sister got me one of those plastic folding boards for folding clothing - like what Sheldon uses on the The Big Bang Theory. I hadn't really used it up until recently. Somehow it was decided that I would be making my sister a cake for her birthday which was on Sunday just gone. I wanted to make something suitably awesome and was discussing it with my mother; she suggested a cake she'd made in the past - a marbled cake made with two different colours of cake. I had intended to update about my birthday on Friday but unfortunately I wasn't well. I wasn't better until Sunday, but I spent that day catching up on the MOOC so this is the first chance I've had to post about it.

Well, that's the Christmas/Chanuka celebrations over and done with for another year. My best presents were a laptop chill mat from my mother and a vanishing TARDIS mug from my sister.
