Wednesday, after Ladybirds we had a 2 hour meeting for NELLI. The first half was trying to figure out the map, then another consultancy agency for Joseph Rowntree came to study us! Alex and Eve had a wonderful time at the playground, even if they did get somewhat muddy. There was a lot of standing water, but I think we spotted all the really deep puddles before the kids found them. On Tuesday the toy bus was back, and my foam order was delivered early, so we had a shopping trip for fabric and paint via the bus as Simon had taken the day off for DIY. And this time it wasn't me! Our PAT testers, Glynnis and Tony, have just been relaying to us the story of their little jaunt to the MPD. They were talking to Roger Barker, head of the A4 trust, about the boiler tubes that Sir Nigel Gresley has recently blown. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been voted Best Visitor Attraction 2009 (over 50,000 visitors) by the Moors & Coast Tourism Partnership, and we have finally recieved 400,000 in grants, so we may have a railway next year to carry on the good works.
