The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been voted Best Visitor Attraction 2009 (over 50,000 visitors) by the Moors & Coast Tourism Partnership, and we have finally recieved 400,000 in grants, so we may have a railway next year to carry on the good works. The swanky fund raising ball is also tomorrow nigt, but I think we'll go to the Cropton Beer festival, of course I am Des again!

I've just had a great day shopping with Ruth and have got the vast majority of my pressies. There was a lovley Gladius in Barley Hall that was only £50, and I did suggest Simon buy me it for xmas, but he seems to think one sword is enough. I pointed out I'd actually got 2, but this one is a close range stabbing sword which I don't have, but he still said I couldn't have it! I'll get myself one some day soon. Ruth did offer to go halves for my present!
Barley Hall was quite interesting as it still had most of its diplays up, due to fewer stall holders being in there, so we spent a while looking at medieval artifacts and a skeleton. St Nick's seemed a lot smaller then in previous years.
I am now absolutely knackerd, but I have the cottage to myself, apart from the cat and Simon's lap top. Yay for wireless networks! I think I shall have a very early night. What happened to the days when I used to Rock with all my friends on a Friday night?

nymr, shopping
