The Sunday we got back I noticed one of the wooden slats over a manhole cover was shifting under Alex's weight, so I gingerly put my weight on it and it gave underneath me, causing me to fall through the gap up to my knee. On Thursday morning we went and collected what turned out to be a big craft parcel from the post office, and fed the ducks on the way back. Velocipede day was interesting, even if I ended up manning the tea hut while Simon went off to take pictures. He was there when it got really busy, but I was a little peeved when he thanked me for helping him! We had a fairly good day on Wednesday. Alex did not enjoy Knaresborough as it was market day and Galina wanted to shop, he was really bored and Simon is being totally intolerant of him at the moment.
