Dinner went well, and we had very little left at the end, its nice to get the quantities right! Most of us managed to stay awake until midnight and toast the new year.
Today we went for a walk round Goathland, under Water Ark Bridge and then a stroll across Bridge 30 before its removal on the 4th. (
http://www.bridgeandwheels.co.uk/) It was all very pretty in the snow. We were going to walk the long way round back to Goathland Station, but as poor Conner appears to have broken his toe when he caught it in Dad's coat zip being lifted over a fence, we strapped it up with some tape David had in his pocket and headed back to Goathland by the quickest route. I'm glad we did as my hips are a bit sore after the walk, and we'll see about the dog when the vets open tomorrow. Mum and I have splinted it on his other toes and bandaged it up as best we can and the dog seems fairly happy, mainly as he is getting lots of fuss from his beloved Mummy.
We are now all sitting round contemplating if 20:00 is too early to go to bed. Stephen is asleep in the corner and Simon I think has snuck off when we weren't looking. Gosh, we know how to party!
