Yesterday Candy and I set out to hike the Ridge Trail at the Kennerdell Tract but I didn't have a map and we missed the turnoff that we should have taken so we ended up going on to the Window Trail instead. Just a perfect day for a hike yesterday. Not real hot. Not cold. Sunny, but we were in the woods in the shade most all the time. Some pics:( Read more... ) -
productive in a few ways today
I made food.
I was crazy over the lemon squash soup we had at the Little IT Deli last week so I tried to make my own version of it for lunch. It was pretty good but not quite as good at theirs. I really need a better blender. There were some large chunks of lemon peel in mine that made it not the best.

break time
I fixed up the tent and it's ready for their arrival. I enjoy that kind of thing - placing furniture, putting decorative cloths on things. I also got my studio ready for Alison's dad. ( Here's a few pictures. ) -
super busy day - why am I on here writing instead of "doing"?
The new windows 10 laptop arrived yesterday. I do love the backlit keyboard. I like being able to sit in the dark and type. Hazel helped me figure a few things out yesterday - where to find things. It is really nice that the battery functions (unlike my old laptop) so I can bring it to different rooms to work on things. Right now I am at the dining ( Read more... ) -
sunday morning
On Friday we took Sebby to Bradford. Jules drove his car with Heather, Rossy and Sebby and Hazel drove my car with me and Sebby's bike on the rack in back. After we got Sebby's stuff taken up to his dorm room we had lunch in the school cafeteria and then said goodbye. I took my tent down yesterday. That felt like a milestone of the year. I probably could have waited till later but I really have not been using it since we have the back porch with the dog fence now. I find I would rather sit on the porch with the dogs than alone in my tent. I even have a cushion on the back porch for naps so that is covered. But, ( Read more... )
