It was very weird this morning. I woke up to the smell of something like a caramel sweet roll cooking. I thought who is up at this hour (5:30) ? and what did they find to cook that smells like that. Johnny arrived in the afternoon yesterday and he and Dave immediately left to go fishing. Yesterday afternoon was probably the only good time in the next four days to be outdoors. I just happened to read an article yesterday about how boomers don't understand the same grammar rules in texting that young people do. Came to find out that there is special texting etiquette. Using "..." can even be seen as hostile! I love "..."! To me it's the equivalent of just trialing off but to a young person in a text it can mean something ( Read more... )

Today is the first day of buck season. Around here that is a big deal - lots of hunters and lots of deer. School is closed. Candy and I were trying to figure out the safest place to walk and it seemed like the bike trail near Franklin would be the best.
