King of Worry.

I put a metronome app on my phone last night and it worked better than the mechanical metronome I have. The mechanical one seems to lag every other beat and it's weird. I used the new app with a pretty simple 4/4 rhythm song last night and succeeded in keeping with the beat - that was good. Gave me hope for the future.

I didn't get a picture of the ring holder necklace that Alison made but she sent me this picture later of it. It's an easy way to put your rings on a necklace so you don't lose them if you have to take them off. You don't have to undo the clasp of the necklace chain to get them on it. It is like a puzzle where you slide the ring over the one side and down and then up again and it's on there.

I made a concoction last night with leftover vegetables that Michael had bought last weekend - bok choy, summer squash, broccoli, and onions and tomatoes I already had, with Thai sweet chili sauce, curry powder and coconut milk. I love curry. Not everyone around here does. So now I have a lot of leftover curry vegetable soup to eat. That's a good thing for me. No need for cooking today, or tomorrow.

The rain that had been predicted for today has changed to light snow. That's better for hiking - but it will be one of those dark overcast days - which doesn't appeal to me much. When Jules gets off work at 11 I'm going to meet him so he can drop his car off at the garage for inspection. Since I'll already be in town I'd like to figure out something else to do while I'm out. I'm feeling drawn to JoAnn's. Won't hurt to have a look around and get some exercise walking the mall. I'd like to add some decoration to the shawl I'm making Alison and if I can find some neat purple buttons that'd be great.
