I finally managed to pull the newsletter back together again. This time I stayed off the USB drive. 11 pages, mostly pictures. I messed with the masthead as an April Fools' prank, and wrote up an article about a late member of the club who had a good idea gone awry. Timing is everything. I think we've got a plan for the where of the outgoing items, but only half a plan for the how. We figure the easiest and safest approach is to give the television to Goodwill since we wouldn't be able to sell it for any more than we'd get in tax deductions. At long last, the Christmas lights are off of the house! I had an Indiana Jones moment after pulling down the first strand of icicle lights. A black snake I hadn't noticed when I set up the ladder was curled up in between some of the bushes. I hate it when that happens. The alarm woke me up on time this morning, and I wanted to doze a little longer. Time was in compressed mode this morning. Every time I blinked, the clock appeared to jump ahead 7 minutes or so. Hmmm. I was just looking at the internal job postings. Looks like the unspoken expectation that we work absurd numbers of hours is no longer unspoken. I've seen a handful that actually specifiy 12 hour shifts or regularly scheduled periods of extended hours. At least they are owning up to it now....
