So much I've been meaning to write, but for the moment I just relay that I'm having a 'classic' night in for me....

As the nights start to draw in, I'm in my flat, eating something comforting (baked potato with cheese), chatting to friends online, listening to music, and drinking a lovely and inexpensive red from Minervois.

Managed to ride in twice this week. It rained part of the way one day, and it's been a bit chilly, but I've been enjoying it. It *feels* like autumn. The leaves, the smell, the light. As I sit, I am looking at three fresh, crisp, local apples at my desk.
It’s dark when I wake up, and the nights are drawing in.
I want to pull myself up under a blanket and watch costume dramas on tv.
Wind outside the house, red wine and a lit fire in.
Gourds and soups. Gloves and scarves.
That’s as close as I get to poetry. Autumn does that to me
