We had a little blackout tonight. A fierce rainstorm knocked out the power on our block. It was only about 10 minutes, but it did knock us offline. Fortunately our son was already asleep and didn’t notice a thing.

I’ve heard back from all the writers about the edits, a few last decisions were made regarding some small changes, and all the content is set, formatted and combined into the main document. Okay. The Print edition is well and truly done. Except for one bio I still don’t have. Everything else is done, and I truly mean everything. I think we’re going to have to start enforcing deadlines on author bios… I never thought it would take such coercion to squeeze 150 words out of people.

Still waiting for 2 responses. The print edition is done, otherwise. Probably going to pay extra to speed up shipping of the proof copy, in the hopes that there’ll still be time to get copies before WorldCon. Somewhat pessimistic at this ( Read more... )

I saw our doctor this morning to check on my unusual nagging pain that I mentioned yesterday; fortunately the doc didn’t find anything wrong in all the testing and concluded it was just a slightly muscle pull, which I’d suspected. Of course, now it’s not really bothering me much at all anymore. Still, better safe than sorry.
