Amazing how things can just come together and make us giddy with their beauty and awesomeness.

Last night we approved the final version of the anthology, and ordered 100 (!) copies. Yikes! Early next week I’m going to prep the labels and mailers so we can send out the preorders and contributor copies as soon as we get them. The anthology is ( Read more... )

We just got an email from Julie Dillon, the cover artist for Issue 12. She sent us an updated preview, which is in the home stretch now. We’re just… oh wow. Slfksj. Heck, I’d publish it in its current form, happily, and it’s not even done! Incredible. I cannot WAIT to see this on that semi-glossy cover.

All editing for Issue 11 is done. We’re still waiting to hear back from a few writers, but the toughest part is finished. Phew!

We also got an updated version of the cover art. We’d thought it was finished, but the artist apparently gave us that copy because the deadline had arrived. And it was good! But he decided he wanted to add to it, and we ( Read more... )

We have very little time today to work directly on actual issues of CG today; it was our last non-work day before we leave for WorldCon so we had to make the most of our time to get ready. We went shopping, we packed, we cleaned. We got a lot done.

We are caught up on reading again. It wasn’t easy, as the past two days have brought a slew of submissions. We’re past our highest previous submissions total by about 12% already! And the end of the month usually brings a small flood of last-minute submissions. We love it, keep them coming!
