Geek Squad called yesterday.  My beloved laptop needs keyboard and motherboard replaced, repair quote of over $850.  I can get a nice new laptop for that, so obviously I declined the repair.  Now I'm wondering...exploring various techie sites online, it seems that Geek Squad is where you go if you want to get ripped off.  So perhaps I can take it ( Read more... )

I spilled wine on my laptop keyboard last night.  It wasn't really a spill-spill, more like I accidentally hit the glass and wine flew all over the kitchen counter.  It wasn't that much and didn't really get on the computer that much.  I was way more worried about my phone, which bore the brunt (and is fine).  I continued to use the computer for at ( Read more... )

Yesterday I went to my friends' house (married couple who are opening the restaurant) before 11am to load up.  Drove down to Market Street.  We set up the tent and tables under the constant threat of rain.  Fortunately we didn't get too wet and the change of clothes I brought were unnecessary.
