Tired Sunday

Yesterday I went to my friends' house (married couple who are opening the restaurant) before 11am to load up.  Drove down to Market Street.  We set up the tent and tables under the constant threat of rain.  Fortunately we didn't get too wet and the change of clothes I brought were unnecessary.

The festival started at 2pm and we were slammed.  Sold 200 tacos in the first hour and it was steadily busy all day.  We ran out of food by 10 YAY!  So we started breaking down and when the thing was over and street was reopened at 11, we were ready to load back up.  Got back to their house at 11:45, but then I stayed and had some wine and conversation for two hours.  Very fun, but after working all day, my tail was dragging.  And of course I didn't go to bed right away after I got home.  Oh no...not when there are nostalgic videos on YouTube to watch ;P

So I was blah all day.

A week or so ago I had a huge freak out at how much weight I've gained and resolved to quit fucking around.  Calorie restriction, diligent working out and I've lost a couple pounds.  Yay me :)  Until Stuart decided he wanted to grill brats tonight for dinner.  Bratwurst is like the opposite of weight-loss food, so I asked him to get me these fake-brat things that Boca makes and are quite edible.  He came home with the only meatless option Kroger carried--soy hot dogs.  Not pleased.  I piled in the car with Scout to run to Whole Foods, thinking if anyone had these Boca things, Whole Foods would.  Except they didn't.  Apparently they don't make them anymore.

So instead we got three pints of Ben and Jerry's that Kroger doesn't stock.  Flavors that we have been laughing about/drooling over for several days.  1) Late Night Snack (Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl & Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters)    2) Schweddy Balls (Vanilla Ice Cream with a Hint of Rum & Loaded with Fudge Covered Rum & Malt Balls)  3) Maple Blondie (Maple Ice Cream with Blonde Brownie Chunks & a Maple Caramel Swirl)

Yes, I went to Whole Foods so I could eat low-fat, low-cal for dinner and ended up bringing home a quart and a half of ice cream.  No, it doesn't make sense to me either.

I had one brat with an assload of sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard.  It was amazing.  And my beloved Packers beat the hated Chicago Bears.

i find your lack of faith disturbing, i'm a dumbass, exercise, food, my husband is not awesome all the time, yay, grrrr, cool stuff
