After 4 days that went by in a blur, I thought I'd make a quick update to say that I have survived the move and now have a flat full of boxes containing my worldly goods.

I know I should have written this earlier but there has been both a lack of time and inclination to do so on my part.

P and I are going up to Liverpool after work tonight and will be there for a couple of nights while I pak up my room and then we'll be driving back down to London on Friday.

I won't have any internet access for the next few days, and I'm not sure how soon I'll get it back as I still need to get a wireless card for my computer.

I know I should have updated about being in London and what the first week has been like by now, but I am spending most of my time either fairly confused and mildly in shock or a bit weepy and lost-feeling.

I think people in work have finally realised that this is my last week and as such are getting in their last-minute requests for research/work. As such I’m fairly snowed under. What is more frustrating is that the research is on obscure topics and as such there are no straightforward ways of answering the questions. That’s when there is an answer!  ( Read more... )

Something is not right in the world!

BT have come to our flat to connect the phone line not only on the date they gave us, but within the time slot they allocated us.

Even more unbelievable - they called P half an hour before turning up as promised to give him time to get from work to the flat!

Miracles do happen!!!

Fairly quiet day today. Room Boss is out at the Open with clients, as is Big Boss and one or two of the others in the team. It’s been nice to just get on with my work in peace and quiet for the most part.
