I am hearing the most bizarre sound in the distance. I am not sure if it is the cicadas or not. The only way I can describe it is that it's like the sound effects they use in a 1950s movie about giant insects. It's a constant, almost rolling, throbbing, medium to high pitched noise. The cicadas we saw yesterday were *nothing* like what happened this morning. There were literal tens of thousands of them. The garage door frame was covered again. Dozens on the driveway. I have commented for years about the generation my sister is a part of, that mid/late 60's born, high school and college in the 1980s, group of women. There is not one I can think of I've known in that generation that isn't either divorced or has been single their entire lives. All with a rotating door of men. With the Sparrow out at a concert last night I decided to watch a Western. I don't think he much cares for the genre, so I rarely suggest it when we are looking for a movie.
