I had not had any issues with bites or itching in the past few weeks. All of that had subsided. But, almost as a confirmation of the existence of these oak mites, after mowing the lawn Friday I started itching again. Tackled the rest of the mulch pile on the driveway. It was small and left sitting for weeks because of the snapping turtle eggs, which apparently hatched at some point and we missed it. I have to go to the Meat Packer today and I am just not in the mood. It doesn't help that we just got two truck loads of mulch delivered, with a third potential load coming later. Today was a productive day, that probably would have been more productive had we not spent the morning shopping and wasting money. I like the idea of "prepping". It has been kinda fun to have food storage outside of the kitchen pantry. It saved us hundreds of dollars no doubt when inflation first started ramping up, because we had a huge supply of stuff downstairs we were constantly dipping into that had been bought when we first moved in here.
