Old Bones
Tackled the rest of the mulch pile on the driveway. It was small and left sitting for weeks because of the snapping turtle eggs, which apparently hatched at some point and we missed it. So I did accomplish a goal of getting that pile dealt with before winter. We also started moving to the two loads of mulch we got Tuesday. I started on the beds by the road and the Sparrow started in the vegetable garden. I think we were out there two and half or three hours, but it got so damned hot. It's October and the temp was close to 80. Needless to say, the task is not complete... either task.
We went down the road to the bar for a quick meal. I amazingly did not have a single drink, though I did have 7-Up, which is just as bad. We are home now and our bodies are in utter pain and destruction from the physical labor. I feel like I could pass out right now.
We are going to light all the Halloween votives, get on the couch and likely watched a scary movie we don't care about falling asleep to. It's hell getting old.
