If you give a mom a fresh blueberry, she'll want a handful for her cereal.  She'll remember that she needs to wash and freeze some of the blueberries.

Putting cookie sheets full of washed blueberries in the freezer will remind her that the fridge-freezer needs to be cleaned out, so she'll grab a garbage bag and get started.

I think I am enjoying the peace and quiet of my house a bit too much.  Once the girls are in bed and I'm alone, I'm free to scrapbook, study, or rot in front of the tv - no judgements, no interruptions, no one who needs me - it's wonderful.

It's -46 with the wind chill this morning.  Julia was bundled up and sent to school, Jack headed to the city for an appointment, and Charlotte and I will hunker down and stay indoors today.   We'll keep busy with domestics, I'll try and get some studying and scrapbooking done, and maybe we'll snooze under a blanket together this afternoon.

Today is the monthly scrapbook workshop and I'm not planning to go.  It feels a bit like an act of truancy.

Insomnia last night; 4 a.m. was the hour I finally shut my eyes and felt like I would fall asleep.  I woke up at 8:30 to hear Julia slamming dishes around because she slept in as well, and it's back to school for her.

Work today - I did accomplish things but felt very fuzzy-headed.  I blame it on staying up late to try and finish the last book of the Hunger Games trilogy.  My co-worker and I moaned and muttered as we worked on stats reports and charts, and laughed as we shared some of our favorite moments from Mike & Molly.  I'm almost always alone in my office ( Read more... )

Today:  Last minute shopping for Julia's birthday party and my trip.  Laundry, and PACKING!  When Jack gets home, we'll carve pumpkins.

In anticipation of the movie release on Nov 18th, I've started reading Breaking Dawn again and I'll take it on my trip.  Although, if I have much time for reading or sleeping, I'll be disappointed ;-)
