reading
We went out for chinese food the other night and when we got home, Charlotte insisted on reading her own fortune. She started out with "When we go to Chinese...." and 'read' a long, long story about a bunch of random things. We were all trying not to laugh - she was quite serious about her fortune!
Grandma and the girls are enjoying each other's company. Grandma cuddles are the best :-)
Reading bedtime stories
Tonight at Julia's school there was a Family Reading Night. Kids were encouraged to dress up as their favorite fairy tale character, so Julia was Rapunzel and Charlotte was Sleeping Beauty.
After reading a book, Julia could take a quiz to test her comprehension.
I was just trying to get a picture of my mom reading Julia's book, and she made this goofy face at me. (See mom, I told you I'd put it on LJ :-P )
Reading to Charlotte and still trying to hide from the camera!
As my mom was reading to Charlotte she was pointing out the pictures of the ocean creatures and was asking Charlotte, "What's this?" Each time, Charlotte told her what the creature was. My mom told Charlotte, "You're smart!" and Charlotte immediately replied, "You're not smart."
LOL!!! I guess she figured that Grandma didn't know what the creatures were since she had to ask every time!! Such a funny girl!!
My mom and I were laughing so hard we were both crying but poor Charlotte didn't really understand what was so funny! I'm sure the other parents thought we were nuts! LOL
